Love

There is no debating that our world needs a fresh understanding and dose of love. Burt Bacharach penned these lyrics and in 1966 Dionne Warwick sang them to us.

“What the world needs now is love, sweet love

It's the only thing that there's just too little of

What the world needs now is love, sweet love

No not just for some, but for everyone.”

The good news is there is a love that absolutely meets the lament of these lyrics. The Bible speaks of this love. God is this love. We can experience this love. When we experience this love we are made different because of it. The transformational love fo God for us makes it possible for us to love one another differently.

In Romans 12 the Bible says, “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” (Romans 12:9 NLT-SE) This is a challenge for us to give the kind of love we long for and that has the power to change our world.
